Help a noobie identify a potential buy...
Good morning all,
I've been a car enthusiast most of my life and owned a variety of cars but never a Porsche. I recently can across a claimed '83 944 Turbo for a good price and am considering purchasing it for a fun little project car. It's located a decent distance from me and the owner inherited it due to a death in the family and doesn't seem to know anything about it. According to my limited research there was no turbo option on the 944s in '83. My first inclination was that the year was wrong but as I scouted the web for info I started to think it might be a 924 instead or maybe just not a turbo at all(but that a PO just put the center tail light up). If anyone on here can shed any light on the subject using the low res pictures the owner posted I'd really appreciate it.
TIA
