Instrument Cluster Replaced?

Considering an 08 Carrera 4 as my next and 5th Porsche. Dealer (who bought at auction) Says instrument cluster was replaced. Red Flag? Could odometer been changed? Over revs concealed on a new tach? Advise and responses appreciated!
