Just bought a 996 with a supercharger...

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 2000 model 911/996 with a EVO supercharger installed. The car has been babied and has only 18000 miles on it. Does anyone
on this forum have any experience with these superchargers? Are they hard to maintain and live with?

Also, I was thinking of chipping the car (advertised HP is 420HP with the supercharger if you can believe it). I owned a GT2 previously and had this
done and was amazed at the performance increase!

The car is red with a caramel color interior. Glad to be here and a part of this forum.:)

Yup, I have installed many of the kits. You can't chip the ecu, it is already re-flashed for the supercharger that is on it. They are great kits, throw on a new serpentine belt every 30k miles, clean the air filter on occasion, and that is about all the maintenance you need to do to them :)
