Just purchased first porsche

Hey everyone. I've been an import (asian) guy for as long as I've been into cars. I own a 1995 Acura Integra GSR and have just made a deal to purchase my first porsche. Im a college student at a top notch engineering school in Indiana and this past summer was spent working in a shop in Virginia that specialized in Audi/BMW/Porsche so I do have some idea of what I'm getting into. What i have found is a 1982 924. It is the naturally aspirated 2.0L version. It needs a good bit of work and hasn't been run in a year but I'm getting it for $250 so it'll make a nice little project car to spend my summer earnings on. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I'll be around for a while.

I just picked it up from the guy today. I had seen it before though. I gave him 125 today and will give him the other 125 on receipt of the title and keys on tuesday. We had to trailer the car for this reason.
And now for the problems:
-Passenger Window smashed out
-Rust on body
-interior in bad condition
-don't know for sure if it runs
-no brake pedal (e-brake still works and gears still hold it)
-no battery

Thats it so far. Its in desperate need of a good cleaning so that will be the first major project other than getting it running. It has been sitting for about a year so I think some new gas should be in order, quick oil change, and probably some wd-40 down the spark plug holes to help the pistons travel.

And now some pictures.

Thought you all would be iterested to know. Since I haven't been able to get the keys yet (stupid people) I decided to pull the electrical part of the ignition switch out and see what happens. Took me about an hour and a half because I thought I had to pull the entire dash (definately not the case) but I got it all separated. Put the new battery in and cranked her over. Engine cranked just fine and sounded like it was about to catch but it never did. I was pleasantly suprised that it cranked. I did notice that the fuel pump kept priming the system over and over again. Unfortuantely I didn't have anymore time to work on it tonight so I went to throw the cover back on it and I noticed a strong fuel smell around the back of the car and a puddle underneath. Turns out that the rubber hoses leading to and from the fuel filter are completely shot and leaking like none other. They could very possibly be the original hoses from 1982. My thoughts are that with the massive leak in the system the engine isn't getting enough if any fuel. This weekend I'll go ahead and replace those hoses and we'll see what happens then.

Nice price too. You can turn that into a gem with some work.
