I just came across this site which is quite nice.

I am very active on two Ferrari sites-FerrariChat and FerrariSpot-because I own a Ferrari. The info on those sites for a Ferrari owner is incredible, andI am sure the same extensive information exists here.

Also certain that many FChat members are members here as well since there is frequent Porsche talk there.

Ihave been considering a 997 S Cabrio as a toy (daily driver) for a while.

So, I hope to learn a bit here as well.

Great site and I'll be around a bit.

Welcome. I haven't owned a Ferrari in years -- had a '67 275 GTB back in the early 70s and returned a lease-to-buy Modena a few years back because I just didn't like it.

Porsches are good solid cars -- the best daily drivers I have ever had --although for fun I prefer modded American iron.

Porsches are great cars, and I have considerable interest in them. I helped a friend purchase a 997S Carrera Cabrio last July. He was in a dilemma-Vantage or Porsche. With Ford's history plus a $430 cost for an oil change, the Porsche was the easy winner for many reasions.

You should have the 275 GTB today as it would be worth a ton more than you paid for it.

I made the same mistake with a 246 DinoI purchased in Italy in 1975. never should have sold that.

Ferrari's are fabulous cars but they are not daily drivers. They sure get a tremendous amount of attention, however.

I have a cherry CL500 I am selling because I never drive it. It's 3 1/2 years old, 21,414 miles, and still under factory warranty. I think that after that sells, the 997 S Cabrio looks enticing. I sold an SL500 recently and miss the convertible.

So,I think that Porsche Cabrio is sounding better all the time!
