new owner 911 turbo

Have owned multiple small roadsters, the love of my life for the past 30 years. Among others I've own an MG roadster, a Fiat X 1/9, a miata, and most recently a Lotus Elise. The Elise has been by far the most fun I've had behind the wheel. I've never had the same pleasure driving muscle, high horsepower cars that pull a heavy weight.

The Elise is a perfect roadster, an absolute blast to drive! Last year my son totaled it on his way back from washing it for me. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. I've been planning to replace it ever since. Besides roadstersI've always wanted and never owned a 911.

Disappointed that the limited production Elises have held their value quite well, I couldn't find a decent deal on my web searches.

I did however came across a 911 in Salt Lake City I couldn't pass up. For about the same I was ready to pay for a used Elise, was a 2001 silver 911 turbo. It was emaculate inside and out, a perfect carfax and maintenance records, having 52,000 miles. At $42,000, I figured with the options on it, this car is pricedless than a third of the original sticker. I had no idea how rapidly this car depreciates! Although a boxter was a roadster that has somehow excaped me so far, a now drive a rediculously fast car for far less than a new boxster! Just getting used to the feel of the clutch, this car is amazing.

Looking forward to picking your brains.

John
