Out of the blue, I am a Turbo 930 owner!....again

Hey guys, thought I would share my good fortune with the group! Saw this on e-bay with a fresh motor rebuild and had to buy it now!

Nice car. I'm not that familiar with all the various models. Is it a turbo 993? Looks very good. What does it do in 1/4 mile.

I love just about all cars, particularly small displacement cars with lots of performance (desipte that I have two of three cars with lots of dispacement):
2004 Porsche Carrera 996, dyno tested at 265 RWHP, track test at 13.48 @105 mph in the quarter. Daily driver, unmodified.
2002 Corvette ZO6, much modified with C5R 427 cubic inch LeMans engine, revised rear ssupension and transaxle,
ATI D1SC supercharger, dynoed at 594 RWHP, quarter mile in 10.0 flat at 141 mph on street tires
1998 Camaro with built 408 cubic inch LS6 engine, AFR heads, locker rear end, 520 RWHP on fuel, 725 RWHP with NOS, 9.76 @149 in the 1/4
What I love about Prosches is the way they can change direction so smoothly.

Hi TurboGuy930, welcome to the forum. I've just checked out your turbo in the gallery and left a couple of comments. Those BBS alloys look so good with that black paint, I can see why you just had to buy it!

Why not have a look at my gallery and tell us what you think?

I also have a online gallery here.... http://journals.aol.co.uk/ctiggerpigglet/porsche/

Hi Lee,
This is a 1979 930. with the internal motor mods, Garrison intercooler, B&B exhuast and the turbo upgrade, it should produce 350 hp or more. It arrives on Wed. X-mas is early this year.

Welcome to the forum.

that is a very fine car. I had a '72 911 years ago and loved it. Now have a 993, non turbo but a lovely car. The modern 911s are wonderful cars, but heavier and with a different feel. 350 HZP in that thing ought to make it a rocket. You will no doubt have a great Christmas!!!
