Ok here it is, i bought an 86 944 turbo from a guy he told me that the car had been sitting for a number of years because it had a burnt valve. when i went to go crank it, i only heard a clicking sound. brand new battery. what could it be? is there a chance the engine might of seized? he didn't seem to knowledgeable on cars, so i don't think he was hot rodding it or nothin.

 

If it has a new battery, then you probably have a bad starter, especially if it has been sitting.
