Vacation in Greece

Hello-

We're planning a trip to Greece this fall (mainly the islands). We're thinking maybe 5 days in Crete, 4 in Santorini, 3 in Naxos, and 2 in Athens. We're the walking around types- love to eat, shop, people watch, etc. Does this sound like a good mix of places to visit?

I'm assuming it would be best to fly first to Crete, fly next to Santorini, then ferry to Naxos, then ferry to Athens, in that order (based on their map locations). Is that the best method to travel?

Thanks!

Highly recommend this company. I contacted Greece Excursion Tours in February with a list of places and sites we wanted to visit. We visited 7 major (many other smaller sites and churches) Archeological sites with private guides that were extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, easy to talk with and open to questions. They also have a transfer taxi and car rental.

I have one question. How to choose the right apartment in the Costa Blanca in order not to fall for scammers? For example, I liked this offer the apartment calpe What do you think about this?

I would not go to Athens at all, you can say that this city is not really Greece, there are too many tourists and crooks

I would recommend the town of Poros to you, it already looks more like those white and blue postcards depicting Greece. The houses are painted with white lime and, of course, everything is covered with flowers. In Poros, you must see the clock tower, the symbol of the island, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bay, the coast of the nearby island of Peloponnese, and the famous lemon forests. The history in this city is very rich, you can compare it with 10 Historic Restaurants in NYC. Here, on Poros, according to legend, Theseus, the hero who defeated the Minotaur, hid his sandals and cloak. The place has certainly become a landmark, as have the ruins of the temple of Poseidon, the patron of the island of Poros.
