Default weighted blanket

Does anyone use or have used, a weighted blanket?
I'd love to hear your feedback on them.
Where did you get it? Would you recommend that company? Is it necessary to get a double blanket (I'm a big gal) or is a single blanket okay?
What weight is your blanket?
Thanks in advance.

I have been reading this thread with interest - I have never heard of weighted blankets at all, I wonder if they would help people who suffer nightmares/constant dreaming? I have a little savings, so I'm thinking I may as well buy one now while I have the dollars.
And I heard they aren't hot - so you can use them during summer https://melacomfort.com
Love to hear your thoughts on this but only if you have the time.
