How to choose between Porsches?

I'm looking at purchasing a used Porsche. I'm really loving the 1990 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. But then when I look at the coupe and the targa, they're really neat too! This is my only car to have the chance to have a manual transmission and a convertible. I drive a '65 Mustang with auto tranny, coupe on a daily basis and it's too much to drive everyday, maintenace wise. Not to mention I can't personalize it much because I don't want to ruin the originality of it as a show car.
When I was young I remember my grandparents having a convertible and I LOVED IT. Is it worth losing the really sleek look of a coupe for the convertible? I know you can get sunroofs, but it's just not the same. I also drive an '08 Lincoln MKZ on a regualr basis with a sunroof, and I always want it to be bigger!!!
I don't see as many targas on the market, but are they practical for everyday use? Where do you put the roof piece if you're at the supermarket and decided to take the little piece off? And lastly, do the coupes and targas still have the little back seats? Just wondering!

I'm really excited at looking to purchase a Porsche! I'm already wondering what exhuasts. The straight pipes sound lovely, but I'm afraid they'll be too loud. I've seen them called 964's and I'm wondering if that just refers to the coupe. And the reason why I'm looking at 1990 is I see the most of those and it's in a low price range that I'm looking for. Pretty much 15k is perfect, but under 20k is the goal. I plan to put a lot of money into, with custom paints, and other exhaust modifications.
