"sporty" Exhaust tips?
I've been seeing different styles of exhaust tips. Particularly the double pipe looks very good, I think. I'm wondering whether this is just an optical / cosmetic thing (as tips sold separately from exhaust systems would lead me to conclude), or whether these are indeed part of entire sports exhaust systems.
Also, if anyone could please advise. Assuming I could place just the tips on my C4S; what brand + type that would fit a 2005 C4S (996)? Thanks! |
RE: "sporty" Exhaust tips?
Hi the Tips are essentially cosmetic. I agree the double interlocking ones in your photo are pretty cool. I replaced my 996 C2 Ovals with this design. I got mine from the Porscheshop (UK) see http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalo..._exhausts.html
They can be Purchased from Porsche direct. I like the 997 S Twin Pipe design, but you would need to rework the back valence on the 996 to get them to fit. Regards Big Bob |
RE: "sporty" Exhaust tips?
Thanks, BB.
I've done some more research, and there's lots of mention that there's a difference in the exhaust tips of the C4 and C4S. Apparently, the C4S is equal size to those of the Turbo? Gabe |

I have the same ones...they do look like separate pipes--very cool

Did you place them yourself? Lot of work? Any welding involved?

RE: "sporty" Exhaust tips?
I didn't. I had a fabspeed exhaust installed and opted for those tips.

I have those as well....with the fabspeed. looks cool and adds some nice bolt on performance

As far as I know, you can find some awesome exhaust tips at Borla. And the quality is excellent.
