anyone know where i can get a used or inexpensive xenon control unit/ballast? the dealer wants $652 just for the part. my drivers side low beam rarely works. i checked the bulb and the fuse and they were ok.

Best method to test if it's the ignitor is swap left to right. When replacing, note the position of the heavy wire inside the unit. It must be routed this way or it will cripple the beam adjustment system.

 

You can also try some of the various parts dismantlers, ie. DC automotive, Oklahoma Foreign, Parts Heaven, LA Porsche, etc.
