03 996 C4S Sunroof
 

Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. I have a 03 996 C4S. When I parked the car indoors before the winter, everything was working fine I had used the sunroof all of last summer. I just took the car out 2 weeks ago, and the sunroof won't work. I checked for power and ground and I have both. I have tried a used motor and still nothing. Is there anything else that I can check. It's weird as it worked fine .

Can you hear the sunroof motor working? If so, you may have stripped the teeth on the cogs.

When I apply 12 volts to the motor it spins. It's only when I plug it into the cars harness that it doesn't.

You have a broken or loose wire or faulty switch, maybe?
