2001 911 Problem....please help
 

I have a Porsche 2001 911 Turbo. The ignition one day became hard to turn to take out the key. It feels wierd and when you start it you have to move the key around for lights and everything to work properly. Since then the windows start to automatically come down once I park the car and go inside. And since a couple of days ago the window problem only happened once every two days. Today since 11am it has happened 4 times already!

Has anyone experience this before?
Does anyone know how i can keep my windows from going down for now untill i can get the repairs done?
Does anyone know any good Mechanics in my area, im in Laurel, MD close to DC and Baltimore?
Is this an ignition problem or has something else?

Have you had this fixed? I am having the same problem with my 2001 911.

The ignition switch is bad. It is about a $20 part, and takes about an hour to replace. Very common failure on the 996 and boxsters.
