Thanks for posting this. It is interesting. Of course it is clearly a promotional video by the manufacturer, but I thought it was quite good. Would like to know what it does in the quarter mile and how hard it goes through high speed corners, but based on the video and comparison to the stock car, I'd guess high 10s or an 11 second quarter and close to 1 G cornering. Overall, though, it is not my kind of car. Too extreme for the performance. Put that performance in something like a Pentley Continental, and i'd be in love forever. :-).

I'm not sure what his numbers are on that car, but at one time Alex (owns sharkwerks) had the fastest 996TT tiptronic car in the US (when he owned another company Akurrat). He builds some good stuff out there, mostly using EvoMS products.

the video of the engine rebuild made it clear this was a pro effort, and the real-time tuning is the only way to really get it right. It's clearly a good car and not only fast but probably durable as hell and with all the dges smoothed off, etc., but I'm getting too old to drive something that extreme. I'm just too partial to comfort and smoothness (both of which my Aston, despite its size -- a bit shorter than a 997-- has in spades) -- but it is certainly not that extreme a performer (mid 13 sec 1/4).
