'78 911 uncontrolled heat on passenger feet
Still learning about my '78 911...got a problem with heat constantly blowing on the passenger side feet...i've tried a few things (fuses, climate control settings, etc.) but can't get it to stop...i think some heat vent is stuck open...can someone please point me in the right direction, thanks!

Sounds like the cable is broken on the passenger side heat exchanger vent. You will need to look at the front passenger side of the engine, follow the exhaust up, you should see the vent up if you follow the hose upwards. You can open it manually to fix the problem temporarily. Usually they rust, then the cable breaks.

:) Thanks Doc...I kinda figured it was associated with the heat exchanger mechanism as I've seen many discussions about them...she's my first Porsche, so I'm slowly but surely getting up to speed on her...Thanks again!
