84 911 Clutch Adjustment?
 

Well, there is nothing wrong with my clutch. It's all a problem with my clutch pedal. The thing has about 12" until it's fully pressed into the floor. From there it extends out about 10" before the friction zone hits. Then the last 2" are all that matter. It's very easy to stall. Do I need a new clutch cable / helper springs... or just need to take it in for an adjustment?

IT is very possible that your cable has stretched and needs to be replaced, but you can try adjusting it and see if there is enough adjustment left. It is quite a process to explain, I would recommend picking up a Bentley Manual for the 84-89 porsche 911. It has good illustrations on how to adjust the clutch. It is more than just adjusting the cable, you need to adjust the release arm to a certain spec, etc.

It isn't that bad of a job from what I remember. It has been awhile.
