930 value question

I have a completely original '76 930 in decent shape, never modified or dicked with, no aftermarket anything, in fact thats where the value of the car is: it's ALL original: 37,000 miles...question: should I replace the front dash and rear "dash" with new leather pieces as they both sort of need it or keep the original dashes and clean up both as best I can to preserve the originality of the car and therefore the value of the car? Does replacing certain items like this hurt the value of the car because it's now a new part and not the one installed in 1976? Any input appreciated!!! Thanks Tom

RE: 930 value question

I don't think replacing withnew leather pieces would lower the value, as long as they are the same color and grain of leather as those your replacing and of course it's done correctly...

Usually vehicle value will drop when someonereplaces or changes something on a car withparts that are not original to the year or make. Sounds like a great car.

RE: 930 value question

As long as it is replaced with factory parts from that car, it will not hurt the value of the car, and will in fact help it. No one wants to buy a car with a cracked dash, etc.
