996 Engine Temperature

Hi,

My 1998 996 3.4L engine runs at 90-95 degrees. I'm living in a warm/hot climate with temperatures in the mid 30's(celsius). Is this a normal operating temperature or do I need to look at another thermostat. Car has always had factory maintenance and fluids.

Thanks

RE: 996 Engine Temperature

Don't think that is high for your ambient temp. That is, as long as it stays there.

My 1999 911 CAB runs about 180-190 degrees F. I live in Florida so it isa hot climate. The need on the temp gauge generally point up +/- a few degrees.

My 1999 FYI I bought new and it has been a perfect car.

Good luck to you.

Lee

PS: I misread your post your car is aircooled so my post has not benefit to you. Sorry.
