it reads 46k. i have heard bout the rubber dampener shreading and it geting stuck between the clutch disk and flywheel keeping it engaged. any advice?

RE: clutch problems
If it is on the original rubber clutch, that is very possible. I would also check the linkages on the transmission as well.

RE: clutch problems
we had her up on the lift yesterday to adress the problem and it seemed to be ok. the linkage was working. the only thing i saw wrong was the c shaped spring really wasnt doin anything. as it just kind sat there and moved from its seat very slightly when the clutch was depressed. and the clutch cable is at the end of adjustment so do u think we should just go ahead and replace it anyway?

RE: clutch problems
Do you have access to a Bentley manual? If so, I would remove the clutch linkage completely off the transaxle, and re install it following the procedure. The C spring should be under load if it is set up properly. If that doesn't take care of it, then you are looking at a clutch job.
