Gap in instrument cluster, please help!

I just picked up a 2001 996, and I noticed an unsually large gap between the instrument cluster and the dash. As anyone seen this before who might know how to fix it?

Some gap may be normal, I can't tell based on your picture and angle of the picture. If it is up a little, then it probably isn't snapped down all the way. You need to remove the torx screw from behind the hazzard button (pull off the trim piece with a small screwdriver), then push it down until it snaps into place and retighten the screw.

I take it there are aftermarket color gauge faces or carbon fiber trim around the gauges? It has to have been removed at some point.

Yes, it's got aftermarket gagues so it was definetely removed. I tried snapping it back down without removing the torx screw but that didn't work. So I'll remove it and try again. Thanks PorscheDoc!
