Lowering a 1983 SC
 

In your opinion... can a 1911 SC be lowered by a "normal" person (me).. If I;m willing pay to have it aligned after I'm done... I'd like to lower it between an inch and inch and a half... it stands rather tall now.. so my guess is it is at stock HT.

how much should I expect to pay for lowering AND alignment?

I don't want this for performance.. just looks
