My "new" 1984 911 Targa and shifting woes.
Hey guys, I just picked up my first Porsche yesterday, and today was the first time I tried driving it (I'm new to stick). Will popping the clutch kill it quickly? I'm talking about shifting from 2nd to 3rd without applying enough gas to keep the rpm's stable, so the RPM's drop some. The car tends to shutter maybe once or twice. I've only done this for maybe 5 miles so far, but the car is pretty old... and not forgiving. So, have I damaged it more than a weeks worth of driving normally would?

Yes, you have killed the clutch.
Lol, kidding. You are fine. |

[&:]You got my heart pounding a little hard there. Thank goodness the car is OK.
