Porsche Euro 930 Question?

I am sure everyone except me knows the answer to this question.

I read somewhere that the "Euro" Porsche 930 Turbo's have a lower price tag on them (I think I read that on this forum). I am not sure I completely understand a few things about that... I know that there were was a 4 year time period that emmisions tightened and Porsche could not distribute cars to Japan and the US from (1981-1985) My questions are:

Is a Euro 930 Turbo just a 1981-1985 Porsche 930?(What is a Euro930 Turbo?)

Why would a Euro Porsche have a lesser value?

RE: Porsche Euro 930 Question?

Euro cars in general bring lower prices... These cars had to be fitted to meet DOT, EPA standards, upon entering the country.. Some were done properly, some probably were not. I have a 1984 930 Euro, and haven't had any problems, that are unusual.. Also, and I could be wrong, but in some statesthere is a problem registering and insuring them... Again, I have NEVER had any of these problems and think that grey market cars are a really great buy... Again, as with any purchase a PPI is always required. Hope this help, I'm sure others canprovide more info .

I kind of thought that was the case, but I really wanted to get a second point of view. That is very interesting. Thank youfor answering my question.
