RADIO CODE ISSUE.... 2003 991 Cabrio

I have just replaced the battery and the code light came on...

After several attemps of imputing the provided Stereo Code in the Owners Manual, i've realized that we need to check with dealer for the code.

Local Porsche dealer tells me that my stereo has been replaced under warranty and therefore I have a diff. Stereo Code.

*At the moment I have an error messege thats says "protect". It does Not allow me to input the provided stereo code.

How do I do this..?

I've left the ignition on for 1.5hrs and the "CODE" did NOT come on.

How long do I need to wait? or leave the car running for..?

*Please Help.

RE: RADIO CODE ISSUE.... 2003 991 Cabrio

If you provide your dealer with the serial # on your head unit they will often give you the code for little or no charge. Tell them if they want your business to give you a break. I had the same problem with my 996 after I bought it used (and didn't receive a code at all). I took it to a local automotive audio shop and one of the guys had a connection with an area dealer. They got the code, installed it, and I was up and running in no time flat.
