Default Superchargers in 911 Carrera 2 - removable?

Are superchargers removable? Saw a 99 911 Carrera 2 that I love and it has an aftermarket supercharger installed to increase it's performance. Does having asupercharger installed cause additioanl maintenance problems? Are they easy to maintain?

Actually having issues with obtainnig insurance so I'd love to remove it given I'm not looking for additional power, if it's possible without affecting theengine.

If it is an EvoMS kit then they have no problems, and are maintenance free. If it is a TPC kit....well I don't know a whole lot about their maintenance stuff.

Going back to stock you will have to change back to stock injectors, and find the misc. parts that were removed to install the kit.

Hmmmmm you may know this car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...0151141758&rd=1

2000 with SC for sale: see link. Has Evo SC/Pop pushing 420hp and believe rest is stock. I own a slighly modified honda s2000 and considering a P car. I love this one, but do not want a tuning head ache? I will gladly crank down the boost to run 375 or so HP if that would help... anyway I would greatly apprecaite a quick schoolong from you on what to expect from a 2000 996, things to watch out for besides clutch/RMS.... any words of wisom would be awesome. I am spoiled with my honda with easy oil changes and after 60K miles never one issue.... I am ok with some regular maintenance and some minor things but again do not want a car that never runs right and always needs tuning.... thanks again.

PS I am not a gear guy, I can NOT wrench at all, so any issues would be sent out to fix which I know costs $$$$. If not this car any other years or models you may steer me to? Thanks again greatly for the advice and support!

here is the car! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...0151141758&rd=1
