Default Updates to Nav System

My understanding is that Porsche has not updated thier Nav system since 2004. Does anyone have information when Porshe plans to update the Nav system?

From a hardware perspective I don’t thin that is correct. The PCM use to have some problems that were resolved in later years. Nav discs come out every year. When I traded in my GTS for my 911 Turbo the GTS had a new nave disc. The dealer let me swap the discs so I had more current nav software

Thanks for your reply, I was told by our local Porsche Dealer to call Naviteq to get an update. I call Navteq and was told Porsche has not updated thier Nav CD since 2004. If you are getting a yearly updateI am curious what are the changesfrom 2004 to your latest release.
Thanks WR

That does not sound right but I know the 2007 911 I bought had a earlier dated disk than the 2008 GTS. I just ejected the dvd and it has a 5/2007 dat on it. The disk says PCM 2.1 DVD - Navigation America.
