URGENT: Should PASM have a switch?
 

I am looking at buying a specific 2002 911 Targa. The options list states that it has option P04 "Sport Package 6-spd plus PASM" - but I thought if PASM is fitted then the top left switch on the dash allowed it to be switched on and off (I remember this from my '05 Boxster S).

So - is PASM ever fitted without an on / off switch?

Would appreciate a quick reply before I commit to buy (or not) tomorrow.....

PASM was not available until the 997 line. Are you sure you aren't thinking PSM, stability control?

Doc: Thanks. I have to admit to being confused....the option list from the sticker clearly says 'Sport Package 6-spd plus PASM' - this was supposedly option P04 in 2002 - it is a June 02 car. I actually have bought the car anyway - it is wonderful - so much better than the Corvette....

Wierd, the6 speed transaxle is option code M480, and the PSM is option code M476. Not surewhere the P04 comes into play, that isn't in the form of an option code.

PASM is an active suspension mode as you know from your boxster, where as the PSM is directly related to stability control and the transmission.
