924 Heat Always On
 

Hi folks. Just acquired an '82 924 (basic model) from a relative. Turns out the heat is always on hot even when the slide lever is full left. Lever and cable appears to be hooked up, so I'm thinking something is either blocking a door or not shutting a valve. Any idea how difficult it is to get the the heater area? Does the dash have to come out? I would imagine the center console, glove box and cover panel below the box has to come out, but the dash looks like a real bear! Would appreciate any help someone could provide to a newbie.
