Bellhousing problem

My boyfriend has an 88 924S. The throw out bearing is shot so the car is in my garage. We got the transmission off, slid back the torque tube, but we are still having trouble with the housing. The rod that holds the fork in is where we are stuck at. We have tried PB on it but it won't budge. The ironic part about this whole thing is that he just sold a clutch kit and bought a new trany. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

Lol, that rod is a bugger to get out some times. You did remove the screw holding it in right? If you remove that completely, you can shoot some pb blaster in that hole which may help a little. Next, find as long of a bolt as you can (like 150mm), clamp a visegrips on the backside of the head, and hit with a hammer in the direction the pin needs to slide out. It may take some beating, but eventually it will come out. If you don't have a long bolt, you can't get much of a swing on the hammer.
