Service Manuel and timing

Just bought a nice 924s, only has 60k miles on it. The guy who I bought it from had NAPA rebuild the head, then put it back together, turned the key, and got nothin but a click. Unfortunatly for him hegot called for duty on reserves, but great for me because I got the car for 850 bucks, with a nice set of koni's on the side. Anyways, my question is, what is the best service manuel to buy for my car? Also, I want to make sure the guy set the timing back correctly? How? I only saw the 924 timeing from searching. Thanks to anyone who helps.

RE: Service Manuel and timing

What year is your 924, and is it a turbo? I can look it up in my Hayens manual. It is not terribly helpful but should have this data.

$15 for a haynes manual is $$$$ well spent.
