1984-944 Brake Lining Light

Hi:
I have a 1984-944 with low mileage on it......12000mi. I just took it out of storage and the brake lining indicator light is on on the instrument cluster. The brake pads look good and the rotor is abit dirty. The brakes work fine when I drive the car.
What do I have to do to get this light to go out.

Thanks

Cut the sensor wires to the brake pads, and solder them together (close the circuit). Repeat for all 4 wheels and the light will go out. Or replace the pad wear sensors.

Are there any other lights or annunciator that don't look right? Especially on the same side of the instrument panel as the brake light? If so, re-seat the connector for the back of the instrument panel. It may be loose or just not making a good connection from sitting. Maybe re-seat it just for grins and see if it changes. Might be a good check before doing all the harder stuff, i.e., brake wire soldering.

Thanks for the info. Checked all sensors for continuity they are good, found wire cut on side of frame, soldered it together but still no luck. Where is the controller for this located on the car. I'm trouble shooting the system and would like to know where all the wires go from each wheel. Thanks for all the help.

Cut and solder the rest of the corners, the light will go out. You still have a worn sensor or broken wire.
