DME relay is located on the main fuse panel, which is under your dash on the left side. I belive, you have an early car.

 

O.K. guys got the DME out and it is all corroded. doesn't look salvagable, so who has a good price on one. It is for a 1985 944. Thanks for all the help. We checked all the relays and sensors and when we finally pulled the DME out it was obvious.
