Default 87 944s

Im new to porsches and have wrapped my head around the idea of an 87 944s. I just dont want to get screwed so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is worth. It is a 1987 Porsche 944s. It has been repainted but is really in immaculate condition. everything works. it has the removable... sunroof? not sure what its called. It has 125k its a manual. just had a new clutch installed.

Here are some pics.

Thats the best i can do for pics. i saw the car in person today. and it truly is in great shape. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hard to judge from pictures. I saw one with about 22K miles on it, and looking like it was maybe 6 months old is all, go for over $11K, and I've seen one in far far less pristine condition go for about $4K. Talk to the seller and see what you can work out. And among other things, check that all the little stuff works, to: all the electric accessories, that the power seat buttons all work, that the windows go up and down smoothly, etc. At this age the rear hatch support struts often lose their strength and have to be replaced, stuff like that, too, can be a nuisance to fix.

Thanks. I did go and see it and he had just replaced a lot of stuff. including the hatch and hood struts. and little things that weren't "perfect". The thing is that this is not a sale. he wants to trade my car for it. i can conservatively get 5k for my car and all i want is to know that after next year i will be able to get 5k back for it. he showed me all the little things and switches work so i guess it would? and the other thing is insurance high on one of these, and do people want them even though its the non-turbo?

Looks like a good deal to me... When I got mine, i was surprised at how low insurance rates are...
