Default 944 electrical problem
Looking at a 944. It does not start in park, and sometimes not in neutral. Ignition switch? or is there something in the console that I need to check.

I suspect it will be the wiring/interlock switches that come off the Transmission/ Transmission Shifter.
You will need to get sight of a wiring diagram to trace the fault I would suggest.
