944 Turbo Tranny in Standard 944???
Would a 1987 turbo tranny fit and work in a 1986 non-turbo 944? Driveability?? Any help here most appreciated!

RE: 944 Turbo Tranny in Standard 944???
Gears are not right for the 944, I wouldn't use it. I would hop over to forums.rennlist.com and see if someone up in the area has a transaxle. I know a guy down in the yakima area is always parting 944's out, he may have one.

RE: 944 Turbo Tranny in Standard 944???
I have a 1983 Porsche 944 for sale it has been sitting for about 6 years it has been wrecked in the front end on the drivers side still driveable. Here is what I know about the car
in 1999 it was wrecked and dropped off at Lamberts Body shop in North Manchester, Indiana and sat there for until I bought it in 2004. It did run at the time but since then the carbs needed cleaned and the tank needed to be cleaned out which have been done. I also have put on a new fuel pump and filter. as of now it has no spark for some reason. As for the body it is in great shape except where it looks like it had a small fender bender on the nose of the driver side all parts are there. Wife said it was time for it to get out of the garage. I want $500.00 for it it is loacted in North Manchester, Indiana 46962 The car will have to be towed it does not run at this time Motor did run when I bought it it is not locked up still turns over and good compression. needs TLC and some love Clean and Clear Title in hand My home # is 260-982-6843 My Cell # is 574-265-5994 Thanks Derrick |
