Yesterday my daughter was driving my '86na yesterday and stalled and the car would not restart. I was out of town and on my way home I stopped to try to get it going, dead battery. Went back this morning with my jumpers and it started right up but when I disconnected the jumper it stalled. Did this a couple of times to be sure.....same results. I figure it must be dead battery caused by a bad alternator although the alt guage moves to the first mark. Does this sound correct or is there something else I should be looking at? I am going to have the car towed home, and if there is another possiblity I don't want to tear it down if I don't actually need to.
