Default Auxilary Air Regulator

Hi guys, hope you can help me. Can anyone tell me what a Auxilary Air Regualtor does exactly? My 944 is havin trouble idling an wants to die when reving up. Ive been checkin AFM, TPS and the basics then came across this regulator. I put a voltmeter on its plug and found no voltage. My specs book says there should be 10 volts. Is this my problem?
Appriciate any feedback. Cheers
Luke

Hey mate,
Which model 944 do you have? I'll see what I can find out.

ISV typically helps the car idle a bit higher when cold, then becomes idle at operating temperature. Symptoms of a bad ISV are typically a high or sticking idle, or an idle that drops down to almost a stall, then comes back up to idle. If you have a stethoscope, you should be able to hear it clicking when the car is cold.

I would unplug your tps and see if the problem goes away.
