Check Engine Light
Hi all, first post here, I just bought a 1986 951 in very good condition but it has a few little annoyances that need to be cleaned up. I've fixed the A/C system and replaced the warped front brake rotors. Now that I've fixed the two problems that I first saw when I bought it, some new ones are popping up, I feel like I'm playing Whack-a-mole here.
Driving today, my check engine light came on and I noticed that my water temp gauge was reading zero. It's 85 degrees today, so something tells me that my radiator is not about to freeze over. Is there any way to read the code to find out what the problem is? Is this most likely a thermostat issue? Should I avoid driving the car at all until I figure out what the problem is? Thanks for the help, I look forward to spending a lot of time on this board.
