Evening of january the 22nd I started dissmantelling my porsche, and so far i almost have the engine out.
I have never done anything like this befor but I'm certain that I'll figure it out as I go, I have alot of experience on fixing cars and such, and I know how an engine work but I've never accually changed any parts exept for the valve lifter clearance.
So I have a few questions.
Can I get the new engine finish by sandblasting it with limestone?
And how heat resistant does the paint for the top need to be?
I will update as I go and I will post pictures shortly.

After blasting it you would still need to do some type of polishing, any high temp engine paint should work.
