Help Low Idling!

So I just recently replace my last 944 that mysteriously was burned up with one that I found next door to my friends house. Anyway, it drove well for about three days and then for the past few it has been idling very low, sometimes to the point that it turns off. Is there anything that I should check out first or any tips?

RE: Help Low Idling!

Well I suppose I should probably go into a little bit more detail if I am to have any guesses as to what is wrong. Sometimes when I start it, whether hot or cold, it idles very low to the point where is almost or does die. Other times it will act normally and idle at about 1000 rpms. And then there are also other times where it will idle at about 500 rpms and I can't seem to find any connections with the way I drive and the car's idle. The oil pressure starts at 5 for a while until it warms up and stays in the middle of the gauge, but I would assume this is normal. I have no ideas what I check out first..?

this sounds just like whats the matter withmy 86 944 turbosome times it will idle fine and then sometimes it will idle at around 500-400-300rpms or less but when you give it gas or going down the road it does just fine. i just did a fuel filter change and it did realy good for a day or two. and i also went ahead and changed the hole ignition with all new stock bosch parts but still did not fix same thing worked for a day or two. so this the Idle Stabilizer Valve is probley it. does anyone know where it is located and is it hard to fix and around how much is a new one. any info would be great i love my 944 turbo just like any other porsche owner but i hate it when its not running right thank you so much everyone

It is under the intake, but you will have to remove the intake to get it out.
