Hmm..Intake?

So ive been workin on my car like all day the past week and i saw this spot off my air filter. It looks like its obviously for a cold air intake. If im right i would really like to pick one up. K&N told me they dont make one for a 1985 944 but im sure they have one that would work. So suggestions would be nice. Thanks
~Ethan

the factory makes it. Find someone parting out any 944 and grab that piece from them. It is going to make no difference in anything though.

The stock air box is quite efficient on the NA cars. The restricting part is the old style AFM meter.

RE: Hmm..Intake?

The metal Air Flow Meter which is the silver colored box attached to the side of the air box. Obviously the new cars use a MAF style sensor, instead of a AFM which operates on a barn door. This is a significant upgrade in the turbo cars, as it greatly increases throttle response, and air flow going to the turbo/engine. I don't know that I have seen any MAF kits out there for the NA cars though.
