How do you remove 944 torsion bars?
Hello all,
I have a 1986 944 Turbo that is undergoing a MAJOR overhaul to a dedicated track-only car. I have a full Huntley coil-over conversion kit for it and realize I need to remove the torsion bars. Do I need any extra parts to run the suspension without the bars or do they simply "come out"? The car is currently stripped to a bare shell and the rear suspension is out. Anybody have experience with this? Thanks |
If you remove them, you want to upgrade the big spring plate bushings to delrin (paragon products carries these). Other than that, they just slide right out.
