Default Alarm Key

I have 1 alarm key and I have read that you can use a Saab Key. Therefore does anyone know which Saab key will work or does anyone know where I can find a blank alarm key?

Not sure about the Saab key, but my 86 944 alarm takes a "normal" Porsche key. I re-keyedmy alarm lock to the same as my ignition/door lock key - easy to do, just remove the lock (from the inside- you can access it from behind the panel or through the air vent) - took the cylinder out, put the key in it and filed the protruding little brass risers down smooth to the barrel - reassembled it and it works fine.

Yup, any ace hardware store can use the Porsche/VW key.

For whatever it's worth, you've now made your alarm lock incredibly easy to pick by filing down the brass pins.

I have a 1990 Porsche 928 S4. My alarm sets intermittently and I don't know how to shut it off. The only way that I can get the alarm off and start the car is toi disconnect and reconnect the battery. Any help or suggestions?

Bill
