how should my '86 944 shift?

maybe this is crazy question but I'd sure apprecate any comments from fellow owners - When I shift in pretty much any gear, I can 'feel' the gears a bit, even if the clutch is fully depressed. I am new to these cars. Is this normal? I know it improves some at higher speeds; could I just not be revving this enough or what? Had clutch done when I got this car - it di need replacing. Shop that did the work (very good rep) has said operation of new clutch is A-ok i.e., normal. I guess I am asking how smooth shoud I expect shifting on this car to be. Thanks to all - appreciate it.

Have you tried changing gear lube yet?

nope.

guess, I'll look into that ASAP. Right now have no idea what that may involve but the Hanes is handy...thanks for your comments.

does trans oil get replaced in process of doing a clutch?

if so I should be good there.. I can check for adequate level though.

Hi
I found that if you hesitate between gears, that the tranny seems to respond better.
