Either a 924 or a 944, you will spend a lot of time in the garage keeping up on the maintenance. Plan on roughly $1k a year in service.

PorscheDoc is right in saying you have to keep up on the service, but how much you may spend depends on which model 924 or 944 you end up getting & if you are capable of working on the car yourself or not.

For a "classic" car they are very reliable, but this depends on how hard a life it's had and how often you will use it.

I've had my 944 S2 for about five years now & I drive it every day (come rain or shine) and I haven't had any major problems with it, but this doesn't mean that all 944s will be this way.

:) Kev.

I recently bought one from Coombs Country Autos. I've had her for about 1 month or so now and am in love. The only downer is gas prices, but she's NA and gets pretty good mpg. I'm not really sure what you want to know about them but they're great cars imo.

Had my 944 for about a year and it took about 2K to get it back in shape, but now it just tinker with it and spend a little here and there. FUN to Drive (every day)
