New Member / New car owner

Folks,
This weekend I'm picking up my new/old 86 951. I'm not a rich man, so I will be doing a lot of my own work on this car, I hope. Are there shop manuals availabe, and if so where? It appears this site will be a great source of information and I want to thank you all in advance. I'm looking for sources for shop manuals, any help will be great.
Thanks

If you do a google search, you can find the manuals (without Porsche's consent, so I will let you find those on your own). It is best to just buy the 7 volume set of 944 manuals, as it is a lot easier to flip through the books instead of paging through a huge PDF file on a computer. Also the electrical diagrams are of a foldout/brochure type layout, so on PDF, you have to print out a bunch of the pages, lay them on the floor and match them up in order to read anything, lol. Usually sets can be picked up off ebay for about $150, which in my opinion is money VERY well spent.

Another site you will find helpful is www.clarks-garage.com he has a shop manual that he has done on a large number of procedures, that will walk you through a job step by step.

The forums at forums.rennlist.com are also invaluable.
