no spark

Any techs in here??
My 83 has no spark..I tried 3 different coils and the DME and AFM out of an 88 I have with no success....When I cycle the key, on the way off I get 1 spark...
Cleaned all the grounds good also....
The tach does not move when I crank it either...Speed sensor problem??
Any help will be appreciated..

RE: no spark

I got both sensors out of the car...Does the ref sensors actually do anything?
I thought i read somewhere its just to set the distance to the crank...I dont know why it would have a connector coming off it if that was the case...
Doc, if you have any info on how to test them id appreciate it...

RE: no spark

You can test them with an oscilliscope if you have one, and IIRC you can do some general resistance testing across the pins, I would have to look up which ones to test and the values.

Speed sensor is for your tach, the reference sensor is tells the DME what position the flywheel/crank are in.
