I picked up this 951 turbo for a steal, i'm wondering how much they are really worth though. Its a 1986 Turbo, 146,000 miles with pretty good records including a complete rebuild less than 15,000 miles ago. I think its in great shape, but here are some pics, what do you guys think?

 

Looks pretty good, but its hard to say from just a couple of pcitures. I noticed its got a new coolant reservoir, so someone was evidently pretty fussy about the car, but I would look into replacing that Stant radiator cap with a proper Behr one for the car.

How much did you give for it?

You did not state what you paid, so it's difficult to determine if this was a "steal" or not. Depending on the actual condition of the whole car (very hard to determine from photos on-line), a 1986 944 Turbo with 143k miles is worth (IMO) between a low of say $1500 to a high of about $8750. The "low" top end is due to the mileage, which isn't high for a 1986 vehicle, it's just over the top of where a $10,000 951 would at. Looks like a nice car from the shots you posted - no matter what you paid. BTW, it's a 944 Turbo or a 951 - using the term 951 Turbo is kinda like saying Turbo Turbo, or Pizza Pizza, or...

 

Thanks for the input guys, i picked it up for a price that was extremely fair imho, but its looking like i'm going to need to move it since i have too many other projects right now. I'm asking $6500obo. We'll see if anyone is interested in it for that haggleable price.
